Invoices

An invoice is a merchant-facing billing document — numbered, itemised, addressed to a customer — that is paid through its own payment intent and hosted checkout.

POST/v1/invoiceslive · after account activation
{
"store_id": "store_01J…",
"currency": "EUR",
"items": [
{ "description": "Annual plan", "quantity": 1, "unit_amount": "480.00" },
{ "description": "Onboarding session", "quantity": 2, "unit_amount": "60.00" }
],
"customer": { "name": "Ada Example", "email": "ada@example.com", "reference": "cust-42" },
"memo": "Thank you for your order.",
"expires_in_seconds": 604800
}
  • Line amounts and the total are computed by the API from quantity × unit_amount; you never send a total that could disagree.
  • Invoice numbers are sequential per organization and environment.
  • The response includes payment_intent_id, payment_status and checkout_url to send to the customer.

The invoice status is derived from its payment intent:

Invoice status Payment intent
open awaiting payment or in flight
paid confirmed / overpaid, or resolved as accepted
partially_paid underpaid
review late_payment, manual_review or reorged
expired expired without payment
void voided by you

POST /v1/invoices/{id}/void voids an invoice and cancels its payment intent, but only before any transfer has been observed.
